To explore the absolute best walking trails Wales has to offer, we thoroughly recommend Wild Trails Wales. Trips can be arranged with collection from the park. You will not be disappointed!

Museum of Welsh Life, St Fagans

Open air museum covering welsh life throughout the ages. A great day out for all ages! Free Entry – you just pay for your parking!

Cardiff Bay

There is loads to see and do around Cardiff Bay including a walk along the barrage or visiting the impressive Wales Millennium Centre, a visit to the 'boutique' Everyman Cinema and plenty of choice for places to eat!

Sedate Boat trips can be arranged around the bay on the Aqua Bus, or Cardiff Boat or for the more thrill seekers amongst us take a look at Cardiff Jet.

Merthyr Mawr Sand Dunes

The sand dunes in Merthyr Mawr are great fun, especially for young children. Why not take a toboggan and spend the day sliding down the huge sand hills. Guaranteed to wear the kids (and adults) out!!

Super Car Driving Experience, Llandow

Experience the thrill of driving an Aston Martin DB9, Audi R8, Ferrari 430, Lamborghini Gallardo, Maserati Gran Turismo or Porsche 911 around Llandow Circuit, right next door to our park.

Packages available for as little as £15, with a minimum age limit of just 12 years old!

St Donats Castle

A stunning medieval castle castle with its own Arts Centre which often runs fantastic workshops for kids just a few miles from the park.

Dyffryn Gardens

National Trust, grade I gardens with lawns and an extensive arboretum with fun events for all the family.

Horse Riding on Ogmore Beach

An experience of a lifetime, riding a pony along Ogmore beach

Go Karting

South Wales Karting Centre is situated right next door to the park, this circuit has karts for hire for anyone over the age of 8! Loads of fun!

Techniquest Science Museum

Possibly the greatest place to take kids on a wet day. This interactive science museum is fun for all ages!

Surfing

Lots of great surf spots in the Vale. Southerndown is a great sandy beach for beginners or improvers with lifeguards on duty during the summer. Or head down to Porthcawl where you can hire kit and grab a lesson from Porthcawl Surf

Standup Paddleboarding

If you have your own equipment, then there are lots of great paddle boarding spots along the coast if you are confident. If you are looking for a nice stretch of flat water, take a look at Cardiff International Whitewater Rafting Centre and access the River Ely and Cardiff Bay.
